Ali Akbar Sadeghi
Painters, Artist, Animator
Mr.Sadeghi is considered one of Iran’s most prominent painters and artists. Throughout his long career he has vastly contributed to the country’s contemporary art and culture. He has worked at the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, and became one of the founders of the Film Animation department of this institute, creating numerous successful animated cartoons and illustrating dozens of books for this center. He is considered to be one of the most fundamental forces in developing techniques in Persian animation and image making for children in Iran. He is an expert in Persian vitray art. He has participated in over 40 solo and group exhibitions around the world. He currently resides in Tehran, Iran where he manages the AS Studio.
Amir Hossein Zahedi
Mr.Zahedi holds a MSc and BSc in Micorbiology Studies from the Azad University of Qom. He was awarded as an outstanding national entrepreneur at the National Awards of AmirKabir University. Prior to pursuing the R&D and patent for solid methane invention, he held several management roles in public policy making, the medical and insurance industry.
His aspiration is to support the energy independence of Iran through the sustainable use of natural resources.
Rouzbeh Pirouz is the Senior Partner at Pelican Partners, a diversified investment firm based in London. Previously, he was Founder and CEO of Mondus, the leading B2B procurement business in Europe, leading to a share sale to Telecom Italia. Mr. Pirouz is the chairman of the Iranian Business School (IBS) and a Trustee of the Iran Heritage Foundation (IHF). He has been selected by the World Economic Forum (Davos, Switzerland) as a Young Global Leader. Mr. Pirouz received his Bachelor's degree from Stanford University, a Master's degree from Harvard University and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University.
Professor Nasrin Moazami is a medical microbiologist and biotechnologist with a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine in Laval University, Canada. Dr. Moazami is the pioneer of biotechnology and microalgae based fuels in Iran. Since 2011 up to now she has led the National Project for 10 hectares scale up of microalgae based diesel, ethanol and other valuable products of micro algae in Bushehr province of Iran. She is the founder of the’ Persian Type Culture Collection (PTCC) and the MIRCEN International Network since 1992. She has received the ‘Chevalier de I'Ordre des Palmes Académiques’ for her outstanding professional research.
Bahram Azimi is a cartoonist and animation director. He is the creator of animation characters, scriptwriter and director of more than 500 cultural and commercial animations. He has served as a juryman in more than 50 national and international cartoon, caricature, animation and film festivals. He also teaches animation and cartoon in Iranian House of Caricature and art universities. He is the winner of more than 60 prizes in Iran and 29 International Prizes in graphics, painting, animation, and cartoon contests. He holds a B.A of Handcraft Arts and a M.A of Animation from Tehran’s University of Art.
Siavosh is an entrepreneur based in Geneva, Switzerland. He is currently developing AgFlow, an information platform enhancing global agricultural market data access and navigation. Siavosh previously worked at AgriNews as a grain market analyst and designed Global Grain Asia, a major cereals trade conference in Asia-Pacific. After graduating from the London School of Economics, Siavosh co-founded Casefeed, a customer service start-up, which entered Ogilvy London Digital Lab in 2010.
Nasser Hadjloo is the founder of Pexity and a technical manager at Faraconesh Corporation. He specializes in unicode, localization, web design, UI and UX design. He owns several open source applications and is well-known amongst Iranian for his bonafide attempts for Iran web industry and Persian localization community. Nasser holds a BSc in Software Engineering from Ministry of Industries and Mines University of Applied Science and Technology and a MS, Strategic EMBA from PNU.
Dr. Masoud Boroomand is a university professor in Gas turbine. He received his PhD in Turbomachinery from University of Cranfield, UK. He was vice president of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) between years 2001 to 2005. In this period, his responsibility was to foster the level of industrial investment in Hi-tech industry of Iran. In entire of his life, he was involved in pioneer projects in Oil industry, Automotive industry and Aerospace engineering. He was the founder of AUTSAT Project in Amirkabir University of Technology with the objective of establishing a new model of research institution within the universities in Iran. He was nominated as the Distinguished Mechanical Engineer of year 2004 by Iranian Society of Mechanical Engineering of Iran. Currently, he is the Head of Aerospace Engineering Department of Amirkabir University of Technology.
Dr. Reza Maknoon is a faculty member of the Civil and Environmental Engineering department at AmirKabir Univeristy. He is also a member of the Supreme Council of UNESCO in Iran and Iranian National Committee on Hydrology. Dr. Maknoon dedicates his teaching, research and ideas on sustainable water resource management. He is the author of the proposal for a ‘Green Government’. He holds a PhD from University of Washington, MS from University of Illinois and BS from AmirKabir University of Technology.
